Different people have different ways torelieve the stress and pressure of modern life. Some read books and magazines;some do physical exercise in the gym; others like to work in their gardens.

Introduction

In former times, people used to enjoy a carefreeand leisurely life and a harmonious society. However, in recent decades humanlife has experienced a lot of amazing changes in almost every social aspect.Although the modern society has become more colorful, it is also undeniablethat many people are under the intense pressure of highly competitivesurroundings. Personally, I believe there are at least three good ways toalleviate it.

To begin with, reading books and magazinesis one of the best approaches. After a hard day's work, people must find itcalming and relaxing to sit in a cozy armchair and read an interesting magazineby a warm lamplight. Besides, doing physical exercises is beneficial for somepeople to relieve their stresses. While it was difficult for people to find aplace to work out in their neighborhoods 10 years ago, gyms, stadiums and allkinds of sports facilities are sprouting up everywhere in the cities. Equippedwith various apparatus and professional coaches, gyms and sport clubs are anideal place for people to go after work, who can train their bodies and musclesinstead of exhausting their minds.
